Intro
Identify meaningful visits, connect visitor behaviour to commercial value and compare locations using faster, more dependable data.
This release helps retail teams move beyond traffic volume and understand which visits represent genuine commercial opportunity.
You can now distinguish engaged visitors from passing traffic, evaluate how well locations attract their intended audience and connect visitor behaviour to potential value. We have also strengthened the data and platform foundations behind these insights.
Focus on the visitors who matter
Not every entrance represents the same opportunity.
Ideal Customer Profiles allow teams to define the audience a location is built to attract and examine how effectively that audience engages with the space.
Qualified visitor tracking adds another important distinction. It separates visitors who gave the location a meaningful opportunity to engage them from those who passed through or left quickly.
Together, these insights help teams answer more useful questions:
Are our locations attracting their intended audience?
Which visitor groups engage with particular zones?
Are campaigns increasing relevant demand or only total traffic?
Where are valuable visitors being lost?
Demographic insights are also available for aggregated analysis of visitor composition and behaviour.
Connect engagement to commercial value
Teams can now add average order value at organisation, location or zone level.
Combined with conversion and qualified visitor data, this makes it possible to estimate the commercial value associated with different visitor groups and areas.
A zone with high traffic is not necessarily the zone creating the most opportunity. Visitor value helps teams identify where engagement has the greatest commercial potential, which areas underperform relative to their traffic and where an operational change may have the most impact.
Apply one definition across every location
Automatic qualification rules can now be configured at organisation, location and zone level.
This allows teams to define what meaningful engagement looks like and apply that definition consistently across comparable locations. Zone-level thresholds can still reflect the different purposes of a storefront, department, fitting-room area or commercial tenant.
Qualification status and average order value are visible in the locations table, making it easier to review settings across an estate.
Compare locations with greater confidence
This release also strengthens the data behind portfolio-level comparisons.
Hourly bounce and drop-in rates now work correctly when several locations are selected. Cross-conversion, filtered dwell time and business-hours reporting have also been improved.
Zone and line-crossing counts remain synchronised, while improvements to re-identification support more reliable journeys, funnels and qualified visitor counts in complex or high-traffic environments.
The result is a more consistent view of performance across stores, zones and reporting periods.
A faster platform with wider access to data
Dashboards, settings, locations, zones and the People Counter editor now load faster, with the largest improvements visible in organisations managing many locations or cameras.
The public API also provides access to more visitor and operational information, including zone visits, bounce rates, line crossings and camera uptime. Improved timezone, filtering and aggregation support makes this data easier to use in business intelligence tools and internal reporting.
Access controls have also been strengthened so users can retrieve information only from the locations they are permitted to see.
This release gives retail teams a clearer view of visitor quality, a stronger basis for comparing locations and a faster way to turn physical-space activity into decisions.
